I do not have any help or suggestions for you, other than
trying to collect money to purchase new mats, or material to
make mats. Are you in a school with several teachers?
Perhaps if they knew your dilemna, they might each donate a
few dollars? Perhaps writing to businesses, explaining your
dilemna and asking for donations?
I use quilt batting and sheets to make my mats. Goodwill for
sheets, perhaps? And donated batting? Maybe contact a
fabric store?
Those are just random thoughts. Your children certainly are
in need. For licensing we have to have padding, but I would
think that for now a sheet on the floor would be better than
mats that cut them and have insects in them.
