Hey Teachers,
I am new to this forum, but anyway, I just wanted to comment on
The Teacher Awards. (Terri Lynne Lokoff Awards)
In 2006, I applied for this award. I did it 5 days before the
due date, and I ended up receiving one of the 50 awards they
handed out. This is a great award, and they make you feel worthy
and deserving like childcare teachers should feel. They flew me
to Pennsyvania, put me up in a hotel, and they had an amazing
awards ceremony, a dinner banquet night and a luncheon for the
teachers. They spoke to us and thanked us for our hard work
constantly. I just want to say go for it. It was an amazing
experience. Something I will cherish for the rest of my life.
Not to mention you get to meet a lot of amazing teachers, and
caring people who invest in the young. I know the awards are
over for 2008, but they put them on every year so if anyone is
going to try for 2009 and you have questions, I would be happy to
answer them.
