I knew I was asking at the right place. Yes - I like the idea of stating the standard first, as well as giving an explanation for why it is a standard - why it is important to the development of a child - and then showing a photo (or several) of how FCC's meet that standard. Some of the standards that I think are particularly important, that you would likely see in a home setting -the soft furnishings and home like setting that pktchr mentioned -Parents talking to the provider face to face on arrival and leaving. -Family style meals and snack -space to be alone -fewer children; more opportunity for language; more one on one language -fewer children; less illness.
