Posted by Pam B. on 4/23/08 Just wondered if anyone took time off for the summer and closed their home daycare. I'm starting my own in-home daycare/preschool in my home in August and I really don't want to have it open during the summer. I've always taught just during the school year everywhere I've worked and just don't think I will be happy being tied down all summer long. I've thought about just closing for 2 - 6 weeks and see if that would be okay with parents. I'm just afraid if I schedule to close too long, I'll lose the ones that are enrolled already. I really only want to teach a preschool program and not really do any before or after school care. Please help me out by giving me your advice. Thanks.
