    I have the summers off, but I only take teachers children, so
    it fits their schedule. I really like having those 2 months
    off in the summer. I pack everything away and get it back
    out in August and arrange things with fresh eyes. Having 2
    weeks off for vacation is not unreasonable at all - you've
    got to have a break sometime. But I agree with pktchr - if
    you take off 2 months, that probably wouldn't work, depending
    on your clientele. Also, if you are going to have time off,
    I would state it in my parent handbook, along with the dates -
    if at all possible.
