I do not have a home daycare, but here is what I use for my
pre-K class and I think it works really well:

We have a "traffic light" chart with red, yellow and green.
All the children's names are on clothespins and they start
the day on green. If they do something wrong they are told
to move their name to yellow, and then if something happens
again, they move to red. They can also earn their way back
to green if they are really good for the rest of the day. I
really think you need to give them the ability to earn their
way back to green, or else once they move to yellow they
have no reason to behave anymore and they will be difficult
for the rest of the day.

So each child has a blank calendar for the month. (you can
print a great calendar off of enchantedlearning.com) Every
day at the end of the day they color today's box with the
color they ended up on: green, yellow or red. Friday
is "prize day". If they have been on green all week, they
get a prize on friday. This system works really well and
the kids are really into it. The parents think it's great
    too.
