	Post: 9Th Grade AIS Class- Need Help Posted by Alexis on 5/07/08 I am a 1st year teaching and I am teaching a 9th grade, AIS, Math double period class, repeaters. With the last few weeks left in the semester I am having trouble keeping the students on track and focus. The majority of the students have missed a big chunk of the class due to suspensions, bad behavior, and poor attendance. They are failing most if not all of there classes. My problem is they don't listen. It’s a small class, but all of the students act out in some fashion. The girls scream at the boys, the boys scream out inappropriate words and actions and I just don't know how to handle it. I have already kicked several students and had assistance from the deans and my AP but the results last maybe a day or to.
