A. Buyers Guide: What buyers do... they guide.
B. Buyer's Guide: A guide for the individual buyer
C. Buyers' Guide: A guide for all buyers
Now, having said that, I notice that a lot of groups opt for
option A -- as in "Girls Chorus" or "Program Directors
Association." In those cases, I personally believe they
don't want the apostrophe in their letterheads(:-), but it
has come to mean "a chorus of girls" or "an association of
program directors."
If we were to use that thinking, your phrase would become "a
guide of buyers." Since that doesn't quite work (it's really
a guide FOR/belonging to buyers), I would go with option B
or C. And if I had to vote, I'd vote for C, since this is a
guide for the individual potential buyer (who is looking at
your website), not a collective group of buyers. Right?
Cheers!
