Re: Kdg mouse practice?
Posted by CTJS on 4/07/08

For the first kindergarten mouse lesson, I put stickers on
their hands and on the computer mouse. We also do a song where
the students use hand motions of clicking their mouse with
their mouse hand. You could even make up your own "This is the
way we click our mouse, click our mouse, click our mouse. This
is the way we click our mouse, to tell the computer what to
    do..."

It definitely is a skill that is worth spending some time on
    with Kindergartners.

In the software program, Kid Keys 2.0, there is a mouse chase
activity. You click on mice with the computer mouse to make
them go away. As the levels advance, they drop their cheese
when you click on the mice, and then you have to drag the
pieces of cheese to the dragon's mouth to feed him.
