Re: Computer activities

I have the same position. Here are a few suggestions:

    Learn about the internet:
    www.teachingideas.co.uk/welcome/

    Internet Safety:
    http://www.netsmartzkids.org/indexFL.htm

    http://www.media-
    awareness.ca/english/games/jocool_jofool/kids.cfm

    http://disney.go.com/surfswell/index2.html

    http://www.cybersmartcurriculum.org/home/

    I also do webquests.

A favorite activities is graphing Skittles with Excel. I let
them eat the candy after they've entered the data.

This year I talked the district into subscribing to
    TechKnowledge (http://www.sratechknowledge.com/)and have used
    it almost all year.

    Hope this helps.

    Karen H.
