I have the technology background but not the teaching background. Although I'm generally able to scrounge up activities for them to do, I sort of feel like it is disjointed busy work for them and survival for me. Every teacher I talk with tells me the first year is just about surviving but I also want them to learn. I would love to know what skills you teach and when you teach them throughout the year. I'm starting to plan for next year and want it to be more then just surviving – I'd like a more successful and productive year. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, you rock!
