I'm not saying that they're the same. I was just pointing out that knowing just Microsoft Office isn't enough. In my position, I need to know the computer applications AND programming (I'm teaching HTML now, but I also know Basic, C++, RPG, SQL, and dBase) AND business. Most positions are hybrid like this - you need many skills, not just how to use Word.
