    Re: Blogging For Elementary Students

The goal of blogging is to engage students using a medium that is
meaningful to them in their lives. I use a blog for middle
school students. It is part of my teacherweb, so no sign-up is
necessary. I use academic topics from grade level curriculum,
usually Social Studies or Science. Students have to so some
research to make an intelligent comment. It can be fluff and
just for fun, but it doesn't have to be. And, it's all writing!
Practice in writing short essays will increase test scores.
