Vent away, that's what we're here for!
Tough call. I know in our classes (1st grade), kids are pulled
all day long for special help (tutoring in reading, math,
speech, counseling) ... some are on a regular daily schedule,
and miss out half the daily math session ... and it's almost
impossible to make this up, with the jam-packed day.
Certainly, my teacher does not schedule special sessions
during "special area" classes like Art, Music, Gym, Computer,
Library or Science. And quite frankly, unless it's
an "emergency" kids do NOT go to the bathroom during these
special classes, either, since they are only 35 minutes
long ... they get up and go during homeroom classes!

I guess it's done differently in every school, eh?
