Sammy's Science House has a movie feature where you have to
put 3 or 4 slides in order. Movies include the life cycle of
butterflies and frogs.
If you have Internet Access make shortcuts to
www.Starfall.com. It's a great reading site. Start with the
first section ABC that teaches letter sounds of consonants.
Then go to second section which I think is called Start to
Read. This has short stories using short and later long
vowel sounds. Zac the Rat, Peg the Hen are the first 2
stories. There are extra stories for the holidays,
Valentine's Day, Groundhog Day, Earth Day ( kids like this
one because as you pick up and sort trash, animals come back
to the woods ), 10 Snowmen, etc.
There's lots of good Internet sites if you have access. Look
at Clifford's sorting game where you have to pick pictures
that start with a certain letter. There are many stories to
read ( with help ) about Clifford and Emily Elizabeth. Also
look at Digby Mole. I use this with kindergarten and first
grade.
