I have been a teacher for 27 years now and with No Child Left Behind almost taking all of the joy and the talent out of the gift of teaching, I have a suggestion. Why not organize a Great Teacher Retreat? Trust me. They are just the thing for those of you who want to renew your love for teaching and want to network and learn from others in the profession that love teaching like you do (did?)! They are inexpensive. They are simple. They will renew the spirit! And they always work. Truly. No kidding. I can provide the minimal structure, the framework, you provide the place and the people and we got a professional development opportunity that is unlike any other.
