    In Texas, I will graduate with my masters in counseling in
    August (total cost for the two years is about $8000 plus cost
    of books and certification test which I would guess to be
    about another $2000--my degree is coming from Tarleton State
    University). School counselors in the Metroplex (Dallas-Fort
    Worth) start at about $45,000 annual salary. You just need
    to do your homework as far as tuition costs and salaries for
    your region.
