I am originally from China and now live on the East Coast
of the States.
I’ve noticed recently that more and more people who are
still in China have the intention of sending their kids to
US to continue their middle school or high school studies.
It becomes popular for several reasons: 1) Middle school
and high school education in China is quite strict and
students have too much pressure so as to become top in
class; 2) It is very competitive to be accepted by top
universities in China; 3) Graduating from a high school in
US will make it easier for the students to continue their
undergraduate studies in US; 4) Financially well-off makes
it possible for parents to send the children to study
overseas.
Most of the students seeking for middle school and high
school studies in US will enter private schools, and
preferably, boarding schools. It has certain advantages for
the people in US: 1) Diversities can be promoted in
schools, which encourage students to become more active in
facing the future world; 2) Increase GPA and test scores of
the schools; 3) More students means more job opportunities
for us here in US; 4) As they pay tuitions and cost by
their own, it will increase the funding of the schools and
will eventually benefit our society.
So, I am thinking of starting a service to introduce those
qualified candidates to the schools in US, which needs
counseling assistance on one end and recruiting work on the
other.
If anyone with counseling expertise is interested about the
project, please contact me by email at x_w_sha@yahoo.com.
We can then talk about the details and plan it further.
Regards.
