Re: Guidance Lesson Length

The two of us set our schedules with our teachers we serve.
They pick a day of the week and time. We go into our respective
classrooms every two weeks-so we both have an A/B week type of
scheduling. For instance, I have 19 classrooms this year, so I
see 10 during A week and the other 9 during the B week. It
equals out to about 2 classes per day, one day has three
classes. Our lessons on average are 30 mins for K-2 and 35-40
mins for 3-5 depending on the topic with the older children. We
are not included in the specialist schedule because our
administrators recognize that we are often needed on the spur of
the moment and it would be difficult to cancel lessons to take
care of a crisis. Hope this helps.
