Our school is in its 6th year as a PBIS school, and we are
always looking for new ideas that may encourage our students
to do their best. Something new we have created is a RAK
(Random Acts of Kindness) bulletin board which we placed in
the front lobby of our school. It is a large apple tree,
with blank apples (cut from our die-cut machine) available.
Students are encouraged to take an apple and write down
something kind another student did for them, and place it on
the tree. This is something we've just started in the last
few weeks, but is getting a good reception. BTW...teachers
are using it too, for both students and other adults. We
feel it is a great way to focus on the positive.
