Re: Changing from High School (9th grade) to Middle School
    Posted by Ashley on 6/25/08

    Michael,

REALLY???? hahaha. I can't imagine thinking 8th graders are
    better than 6th graders! wow!

I guess it depends on the school and the grade levels that are
in it. We only have 7th and 8th grade in our middle school.
I teach electives and have both grades in my classes. I love
7th graders because when they start, they are SO scared! They
don't usually start acting out until after Spring Break. Every
year without fail, I come so close to telling the 8th graders,
"Don't let the door hit ya on the way out!" It amazes me the
attitude that they will give you. Now granted, I think part of
it is that some of the 8th grade teachers aren't very strong
in the discipline dept, so when they come into my hall, they
think they can give me attitude and tell me how it's going to
be. They quickly learn that's not the case. On 6/25/08,
