Yes they very immature but they blossom as the year goes on. If you have the patience to deal with a ounger age group then you will be fine. Some teachers said they would not teach 6th graders because they are much more needier.You have to get them thru adjusting to several teachers ,get them organized etc. But they generally are very sweet.
