I don't believe you can 'teach' children to have a 'positive
character' - I do believe we can be a model for them.
Children and teenagers are in formation, what are they one day
is not what they are the next. Behavioral problems resolved
by a 'positive character'?
I have seen some kids take leadership roles after they've made
a conscious decision to do things differently. But not often.
Most change I've seen in students is gradual change. I have
seen less tension and less bickering in a class when a teacher
sets a positive tone and does not foster competition between
students.
