However, you did tell them you were going to give F's to kids that were talking, and you followed through. Sometimes it is easy to feel bad, but you did tell them. They may think that if enough of them do it, you won't really give them F's. I am guessing that after you have a talk with the parents, the talking won't continue to be a problem. All that said, I think there are things that can be done to discourage the talking in the first place. Here are some things I've done during tests to make it less tempting to talk: 1) have them spread out their desks 2) have them decorate folders to put up during a test, kind of like making their own cubicle 3) subtract just one or two points from their test everytime you hear them talking, that way if their goal is to "get out of the test" by talking, it won't work, or it will at least take a long time :) RESPOND TO THIS POST START A NEW THREAD RETURN TO CHATBOARD Posts on this thread, including this one an "F" for talking while testing, 8/31/08, by Li.
