I'm usually light hearted with my kids and I didn't take the cracker comment too seriously, it just worried me that they would talk to others like that. We had what I call a class pow-wow. I pulled out the old Socratic method and we took a break from Math. I actually did some differentiation :) We discussed civil rights in the US and talked about what they knew and what they heard...two different things. We all learned a little something yesterday. Most important is we learned to respect one another. I want my kids to get ready for the world and I want them to know the difference between what's acceptable at home and what's acceptable outside the front door.
