Re: best books?

Okay Bonnie,
I have already read through or skimmed through 7 books on
classroom management and organization.
My favorite are in order
Setting Limits In The Classroom by Robert MacKenzie
First Year Teacher's Survival Kit by Julia Thompson
The Organized Teacher by Steve Springer, Brandy Alexnder, etc.
Setting Limits teaches use how to use effective discipline
and not give tons of warnings where the kids walk over you.
The other two have good ideas about what you need and how to
set up your classroom and reproducibles. I would definitely
recommend all three of these--the first two for sure.
I think teach gave me a website that had ideas I could use
also and this was good also:
http://www.newmanagement.com/
Now that I have discpline and organization in my mind,
curriculum is next.
Hope this helps you.
Tricia:)
