You don't mention the context in which he/she said this. It
doesn't sound like the teacher is happy. But it says nothing
about what? Is he unhappy with the administration? Unhappy
with the subject? Unhappy with the color of his desk? Unhappy
because he doesn't get free parking? Unhappy because he thinks
his students are not worth teaching? What happened that caused
him/her to say this? Was he irritated when he said it? Was
more of a reflective statement that might lead us to believe
that he made a career change and is now having second thoughts?
Too much information is lacking to really decide but what I
will say is so what? What he says shouldn't affect you.
Unless of course you really are a jerk and am totally
responsible for messing up the class, but, I don't suspect that
is the case. So don't worry about it unless you just are
concerned for his/her well-being and want to know. It is not
your job to make him/her happy in his/her job.
