Rose,
I feel for you. I am a first year teacher. I still
remember student teaching. Can I say mine was HELL! But I
love teaching, now that I am the lead teacher. One thing I
would do is set limits and have procedures set for actions to
be taken when the students do not follow your rules. Then
make sure you stick to it. I do not know what grade you are
teaching, but you could take away special activities, such as
recess, or doing special classroom activities. I hope this
will help.
