K-teach

I was asked to come up with a list of books that are
effective for teaching the letters of the alphabet and then
describe one activity to use with the book that reinforces
knowledge of a letter name. I read lots of stories to my
students, but I don't USE alphabet books to 'teach' the
letters to my students per se.

I was asked to create the list on the basis of the
following criteria...

1. if possible it has the uppercase and lowercase letter on
the same page with a simple picture and describing
word...like Ff, picture of fish and the word fish...

2. uses the common sound of the letter and the picture must
be understandable to the students

The book example that was used was called Alphabatics. The
only thing that I noticed about that book was the fact that
I didn't see any lowercase letters, only uppercase/capitals.

If you can help me out, I'd appreciate it. If not, I'm
going to 'camp out' tomorrow at Barnes and Nobles. LOL.
