Post: Need to Vent!
Ok, I just need to vent here because my frustration level
is through the roof. This year we increased our enrollment
and I have a LOT more kids than what I normally would.
That's been ok, we have been dealing with it and for the
most part things were going smoothly despite the large
class size. Then just as the second 6 weeks began, we got
a new student. This kid is VERY immature. I will just
call him B. He is one of those boys that is like a bull in
a china cabinet! B has no concept of his own personal
space, and forget understanding about rules and
procedures. He is oblivious to everything going on around
him. Bad part is, that the rest of the kids have completly
fallen apart since B has joined us. The general attitude
of the entire AM class is "yay, we're at school...we get to
do what we want!" It has been a nightmare the last few
weeks. I've even started an incentive program for positive
behavior this week, and even that isn't helping.
My PM class is doing just fine. They are into the "groove"
and have their procedures down. They are sailing along
beautifully. It's just this AM class. I know that to see
any improvements, I'm going to have to make some changes,
but right now I'm so frustrated, I don't even know where to
begin!
*sigh*...ok, I feel better now...thanks for letting me
vent! :) ....and I'm open for suggestions!
