For a craft, there is directions for a cute Turkey made from a
cup in the family fun magazine this month. (it is actually a
hat, but I am going to turn it over) Then fill it with pop
corn. You could let them watch Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and
have a charlie brown feast..didn't they have popcorn and
pretzels.
Also, a turkey headband craft then let the kids recite a turkey
poem. For a snack, I have seen directions somewhere for a turkey
made out of a cookie, carmel, and candy corn. Not sure where,
maybe family fun. Parents could help the kids put it together.
In the past, I have made "stone soup" with grandparents. The
children helped chop the vegetables and cooked in crockpot all
morning. Everyone brought ingredients in.
