I am teaching it. It is in my disctrict's curriculum as an
optional text for English 1, but I was looking for something
that would interest my English IIIC class. After reading A
Chocolate War, I decided that this was the type of book that
might really interest my students. I have had mixed reviews
from them, but overall I think that the unit is going well.
There are so many themes in the book that they can relate to
that it makes it easy to find ideas for projects. It's just
edgy enough to keep them interested.
