Re: Does Anyone Use Centers in High School?

I have not done centers in HS, but did them in MS. I want to
incorporate them into my HS classes, but am findng it
difficult. Difficult in that I have desks and no tables to pull
small groups. Cramped room and very social and talkative
people. I would not call them centers, though. Workstations!
Grammar, writing, reading, Vocabulary focus group,
collaborative group. It sounds more appealing to the upper
grades.
For the writing lessons, you can do a whole class minilesson
and then do a small group focus to catch those who are having
trouble and conference with all.
Great way to teach!
Go for it....
