It's really not my district. It's my specific school (and my grade level in particular). I really don't have the option of changing schools right now, so I'll have to make due. I also train teachers in my district (tech stuff) and I have contact with lots of people outside of my school and at the district office. I KNOW it's just this school. That's how things have always been there and I guess how things will remain as long as it's allowed. I did speak with my AP about it because I don't want to be called on the mat for "not doing" something or other. It's just so discouraging. I have worked with wonderful teachers in the past and I miss it very, very much. I suppose I was spoiled by being lucky enough to start teaching in a place where real collaboration and support happened.
