Make sure you do your homework on the school. What are the
current buzzwords and recurring themes of the school? For
example, does the school emphasize 21st learning skills or
maybe collaborative projects or perhaps differentiated
instruction? Be prepared to explain how you will meet these
goals.
Secondly, look at some generic teaching job websites and
practice answering the practice questions. Make sure to
personalize your responses. Schools are looking for
competent teachers so there is not really one right answer
for the question, just the best-fitting teacher.
Definitely make sure you bring examples of your teaching.
Showcase your best techniques and make sure you show a wide
variety of teaching skills. If you don't have much
experience yet be sure to show a clear understanding of
curriculum and lesson planning.
And the best advice yet... be yourself! and good luck!
