Re: graduate paper on ESL grammar topic

I did a grammar paper in graduate school. It was on the use of gerunds - why some verbs follwed by to when using the infinive and others are not (as in "want to go" - never "want going" vs. "enjoy going" - never "enjoy to go"). ans also verbs that can take both ("like to go" and "like going are both ok). it explored if there were any reasons for this. other good topics are article use and count vs. noncount nouns. hope this helps!
