    I was certified ESL in Mass. You have to take the ELL MTEL, and
    the other requirements are on the certification website. If you
    are secondary certified you have to take the secondary ELL
    test...ESL is not K-12 in Mass.

    You probably have to take some methods classes, linguistics,
    grammar, language acquisition theory classes, etc. I think
    Framingham State has a program (some of the classes might be on
    line). Where are you in Mass? I know in Eastern Mass you can
    try Lesly college, Bridgewater State, but I can't remember the
    others.
