Every day I try to find something about the day that's
important somewhere in the world. Every day almost is some
country's Independence Day or a holiday. Usually at the
beginning of the day I'll tell the kids today is Independence
Day in St. Lucia - where's St. Lucia and how did they achieve
their independence? Or today is the Day of the Dead in Mexico
or St. Nicholas Tag in Germany.
Go to earthcalendar.net for one site that will tell you what
day today is in several different countries.
And good for you that you want to create cultural awareness and
an appreciate for other cultures!
