I agree. My school has me pulling students out during thier
literacy block to teach them reading. It is a total catch 22.
They are losing valuable time in reading class with reading
staff to come with me. I am not an extra reading teacher! ESL
students have so many more needs than just reading
instruction. Teachers are preoccupied with reading to pass
standardized tests...they forget about what my kids need to
succeed in every area of their lives...ENGLISH.
