I am certified ESL. I want to get experience teaching ESL, but this job is an hour away and the pay is crap. not to mention the time I'll spend writing lessons and grading. Should I take it?

Formerly employed It's actually in Pennsylvania, U.S.A. I quit after my first paycheck. There is no organization there. I never knew when I was working and what classes I would have. I was given no c curriculum, and they didn't pay me the rate they promised to.

It sounds as though the impression you have of this job is that it may not be good for you.

I would suggest that you think about the experience that you would like to have of teaching ESL and focus on jobs that are closer to that image.

Of course not For all the time you'd be putting in, you wouldn't even be making minimum wage. Is this a job at an actual school? If so, not only should you be running fast and far away from there, but so should the students and their parents.

Well, they raised my rate to $15 after realizing that I had certification.
