    Shelby,

Good Point to Sue. I am voting democratic in this election and I have seen Sue's
posts before. They are usually quite antagonizing and embarrassing to those of
us who support J. Kerry. Some make sense but this one didn't. I agree with you
on this point and consider Sue's point irrelevant. However, your last sentence
could have been eliminated unless you are talking about extremists in BOTH
    predominant parties.

Sue's personal attack on you was totally unfounded and hopefully her students
(if she's a teacher) aren't subjected to that same kind of behavior. If so,
shame on her. However, you have been guilty of that yourself in a personal
attack on me when I disagreed with your position on an issue on the Middle
School Chatboard awhile back. As I recall, you had made a statement based on
your assessment that teachers seem to be predominantly in favor of Bush. I
disagreed with you and suggested that you explore conversations on the Politics
chatboard and the Retired Teachers chatboard to see if you would still support
    that position.

I then went on to express my positions about Bush, which proved to be
unfavorable in your eyes. I thought I did it in good taste but I apparently
rattled the Republican ideal in you. I still extended support to him because I'm
an American citizen and he's my elected president but you couldn't see how
anyone could disagree so much and still support him. As a result, I was roasted
by you. I had decided to just let it go and not respond because (a) it evolved
into a political issue on the Middle School Chatboard, (b) my response to your
roasting of me as some kind of hypocrite would not have been pleasant and (c)
you don't define my anyway so why even worry about it.

In closing, Shelby, I think you make some very valid arguments. You express
yourself very well and I enjoy reading your posts whether I agree or not. But
your last sentence was very partisan as well. I think that Sue deserved that
statement and not the entire Democratic party. When former President Clinton was
in office, the Republicans did the SAME thing. Whoever is in that powerful
position will be subjected to intense scrutiny by the other party(ies). And the
SWING voters will have to separate the wheat from the chaff and see who is the
most credible. By the way, I'm a swing voter who happen to voting with the
Democrats this time and Sue's behavior does not define most Democrats that I
    know. God Bless.

    The Prince
