Hot off the presses: the November Teachers.Net Gazette....

Re: Republican/Democrat
Posted by sue on 3/25/04

Hey veteran, did you know that Bush cut back veteran benefits and
veteran hosptial funding? My children are also veterans and they think
Bush is responsible for many deaths needlessly. In case you didn't know
it, there were no terrorists in Iraq. In addition, Stan, all that good
work we have done in Iraq was paid for by US taxpayers.....that money
came from our pockets, not the oil rich Iraq citizen's pockets. And,
how does that make teachers who have not gotten raises in years feel
when we have a soon to be ex-president putting us at record levels of
debt so that his rich buddies can make more money.

Your statement that Bush has put more money in our pockets it typical
of a right wing Republican.....money in the pockets of the rich. And,
if we did have all that money why is the unemployment figures at record
    levels.....

The press corp can not publish what is not true. That is why Bush's
regime has been the most secret in history.

And I laugh at your suggestion as to how he handled September 11th
events. He invaded a country that was not responsible for it. Does that
sound logical to you? By the way Stan, my sons feel that your sighting
of yourself as a disabled veteran in trying to make a case is something
they would neve condon. But, hey, they also don't like the fact Bush
has made their benefits less. Apparently you don't.

So what has Bush done to improve this country, and don't state farm
benefits that go to some of the wealthiest people in the nation. And,
don't tell us that the war on terrorism has reduced the terrorists
network by two thirds when we can't even find their leaders.

I am lucky that my boys are not one of the 9000 plus who have been
killed or wounded in Iraq. Yep, Stan, that's nearly at the same pace as
Vietnam. My husband was there, and thankfully for people like Kerry,
the was was over before he was injured. Nice to know a veteran like
Kerry is running for President versus a air national guard member who
hid in Alabama without anyone noticing...
