Many of Bush's supporters and colleagues have money/"interest" in gas/oil/energy companies. For example, Bush supports the big oil companies - despite the fact that they are making BILLIONS in profit. Yet - the oil companies keep saying that they can't lower gas prices....I don't see why. Apparently typing a lower price into a computer is too much. Apparently, they just aren't satisfied with the fact that they make BILLIONS and they fear making only MILLIONS in profit. Honestly, when heads of these oil companies spoke with Congress, and when they were asked how much they make a year - they didn't know. How do you not know how much money you make? Honestly - do they make so much that they can't even make an estimate? Come on now - even many republicans are not approving of Bush anymore. When your own party doesn't even like to support you - you know you are in trouble. And by the way - both political parties twist information to their own advantage: I think it is a prerequisite to being a politician. Gas prices are going to remain high. I do support boycotting the big oil companies (even if it doesn't do much good) because it just makes me feel better that atleast they aren't getting any money from me. It is going to take some HUGE pushing by the American people (By the world really), by our politicians, and by our government before any change happens. Get ready everyone - $6.00 gas is on its way.
