I a glad I found this thread, because I am in the same
situation. I started my undergraduate education in August
1998. I taught for 5 years and at the end of the 5 years,
took out more loans to pursue a masters degree. I felt
burdened by the student loans, but see a real need in
teaching students with disabilities. So I was ecastatic
when I found out about this loan forgiveness plan. Like
you all, I was horrified to learn that because my loan was
dispersed in August, rather than October, I don't quality.

I too will write a letter and send it to my congressmen
and Sen Graham. Please update this thread if anyone hears
anything.
