I teach in the lowest paid district in the state of Tennessee. I teach at an Alternative School and am certified Special Education...3 of the requirements but I had an existing loan (not in default) so I don't qualify. I can't understand your situation either. We all go through the same college requirements, teach in a unappreciated business, and work as hard or harder that anyone else that got their loans forgiven. PLUS, get paid a lot lower than someone else that would go through as much college as we do...Dr. Julie lol Sorry. Could help but think where we would be after 5-6 years of college in someother area. I went 7 years, got my Master's Degree, and was working on my EDS. Your right, we love the children. That is the only reason that we are doing what we are doing. Government should understand that. Yet, they keep laying it to us...NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND. What about NO TEACHER LEFT APPRECIATED!!!
