    Re: Teacher Loan Forgiveness Program
    Posted by Annette on 6/14/08

I am in the exact situation. I am not eligible for the Teacher
Loan Forgiveness program because I had student loans prior to the
cutoff date (1998) and prior to beginning my teacher
certification/degree program. I have called and emailed
individuals in the Education Dept. as to the significance of the
cutoff date. I was told the date was set at the federal level.

I would definitely sign a petition to have that date rolled back
or remove the cutoff date altogether. Anyone else interested?
Melody are you still out there?
