A tattletale wouldn't last long in most schools ... and a
principal who "writes up" another teacher without a
conversation with the person accused, well, that makes no
sense to me. And certainly, if you were wrongly or unjustly
accused, you should bring in your union rep and at the very
least, put in a rebuttal for your file. Certainly, unless
whatever you did was horrifically dangerous or incompetent,
any other action reported by a peer would require a
conversation, at the very least......
Oh, and people on these boards get a bit silly about spelling.
It's a CHATBOARD, for conversations between educators, and is
NOT a resume or job application.
And a quick check on dictionary.com (not necessarily the best
source) says:
tat·tle·tale [tat-l-teyl] Show IPA –noun 1. a
talebearer or informer, esp. among children. –adjective 2.
telltale; revealing: a tattletale smear of lipstick on his
collar. Origin: 1885–90, Americanism ; tattle + tale
