I am doing an author study on Dan Gutman and Judy Blume. I
have students working in small book groups. I have four
students that have read through their books very fast and
several other students who are reading at a much slower
pace. I meet with leveled groups each day.
Any ideas of what to do with the students who finish? I am
thinking about having each of them do a book report. Two
weeks ago we finished studying Eve Bunting as a class and
that was a great lesson. On Friday I had students who
finished fill out an author study chart. What should my
next step be?
