    Post: Interview with the Superintendent

Posted by Mlle. Robertson - to - be on 6/24/08

I've been through several interviews this summer, and have
been grateful for them. I have been told three times so far
this summer that I have been the "second" choice or part of
an "extremely difficult decision" due to different reasons
(one time a candidate knew board members, another time was
that the other candidate also had Spanish certification,
etc.) So I've been feeling slightly discouraged over time.
However, I'm at the third step in this 3-step interview
process for a school I'd be really excited to work for. The
first interview was with the principal and assistant
principals. The second interview was with the principal of
the middle school and the other French teacher. Tomorrow's
interview is with the Superintendent. Normally, I have heard
that the Superintendent only meets with one candidate (who
has been recommended by the principal(s)), but they have
told me that "finalists" will go on to interview with the
Super. I don't know how many finalists that might be. I
would guess three at most, and probably just two of us.

My question is this: What kinds of questions might they ask?
I keep thinking everyone has asked me all the possible
questions already...some of them more than once. (Both
previous interviews have been quite thorough.) AND should I
be worried about coming in SECOND again?? Any other advice
for an interview with the Superintendent would be really
    helpful.

    Thanks in Advance!!
~Kesha Robertson (Hopefully the future Mlle. Robertson)
