I have only tracked participation while teaching grades 4-6 in
elementary school. This was only for distributing rewards.
In secondary school, my students do have a choice; they all
participate. When reviewing homework, I call on each student.
The methode, Discovering French, uses paired actitivies( mini-
dialogues)and all students participate.
Tracking is not needed. It is easier to take note when a
student or two did not participate than to do the contrary.
Meilleux voeux et de bonnes fêtes à tous et toutes,
James
